Three like minds men's named Oladipo Antonio, Oladipo Onaleye ,and FOK Sanya reached out to other people that were equally born and breed in Lafiaji area of Lagos Island who share the norms and value of Lafiaji area to form the association as founding members.
The first meeting of the LDA was held in June 1980 at a mini hall of st Michael catholic church in Lafiaji Lagos the following are the founding officers, President EGO Beecroft , vice president FO Lawrence, Finical secretary FOK , General Secretary Oladipo Antonio, Treasurer Oladipo Onaleye, Social secretary CA Abodunrin, Publicity Secretary Ayo Benjamin.
The association continued regularly monthly meeting at st Michael catholic church until it was formerly launched in April 1982 when a decision was made that individual members should host monthly the meetings in there respective homes since then the association from strength to strength has always engaged in activity of giving back to its community and helping its members.
